Clarita R. Dalimot, 87 years young, of Huntington Beach, passed away on August 22, 2022 after battling Lewy Body Dementia.
Clarita was born on March 29, 1935 in Alaminos, Philippines. After graduating high school and college in the Philippines, the beautiful and bright Clarita moved to New York, New York, to complete her nursing studies at Chinese General Hospital. There she met and married a handsome US military man, Prospero Dalimot, in 1958. He, too, had been born the Philippines. Clarita excelled in nursing, earning awards and commendations. She even was featured in the New York Daily News taking care of Joe DiMaggio. Clarita continued her successful career as a nurse, serving as a civilian practitioner at bases across the United States. After retiring, Clarita traveled the world.
Clarita’s Catholic faith was cornerstone to her life. She was a loving, devoted, and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. Clarita Dalimot is survived by her husband Prospero Dalimot, her children Prospero “Jay” Dalimot and Merrily Tull, and her grandchildren Max Tull, Sonata Dalimot, Nicholas Tull, and Prospero P. Dalimot.
