Mercedes Fonseca

Mercedes Fonseca, long time resident of Huntington Beach, entered her Heavenly Home early Wednesday morning, April 17, 2019. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends. She was born on April 14, 1948 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Merci moved to California, where she began her work as a seamstress and opened Merci’s Draperies. She lived a life dedicated to raising her four sons, being the most amazing Abuelita to her seven grandchildren, and loving on all those that had the chance to cross paths with her. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and made the best Mexican food around. She is survived by her 4 sons, Cesar Montiel, Richard Montiel, Carlos Montiel, and Victor Montiel, daughter-in-law, Marlene Montiel, and 7 grandchildren, who miss her dearly.
